SafeSwiss Secure Communications, an encrypted messaging and voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) technology provider, has purchased encrypted email, file storage and file sharing company Secure Swiss Data as part of a multi-million dollar transaction. It also is close to announcing another cybersecurity acquisition within the United States, the company said.
This is M&A deal Number 106 that MSSP Alert and ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2020. See the complete M&A deal list here.
SafeSwiss will integrate Secure Swiss capabilities into its encrypted communications platform. In doing so, SafeSwiss intends to create "the world's most comprehensive encryption offering," according to a prepared statement.
Secure Swiss offers end-to-end encryption for data and emails, the company said. It provides end-users with public and private keys that they can leverage to manage information security and sharing.
A Closer Look at the SafeSwiss Platform
The SafeSwiss platform provides real-time encryption to protect communications against cyberattacks, the company stated. It offers end-to-end encryption for all messages, along with the ability to delete messages or have them self-destruct.
In addition, the SafeSwiss platform allows users to make encrypted phone calls, the company indicated. The platform also provides keystroke encryption capabilities.
MSPs and MSSPs can leverage the SafeSwiss platform to encrypt their communications with employees and customers. Furthermore, they can add encryption-as-a-service to their portfolios via Beachhead Solutions' SimplySecure management system.
SimplySecure's encryption-as-a-service is designed to help organizations secure their data and comply with European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements, according to Beachhead. It was unveiled at last year's DattoCon Paris MSP conference.
