AgileBlue has purchased Crowe LLP's managed detection and response (MDR) platform, which is used for public accounting, consulting and technology. Financial terms of the transaction were not released.
This is technology M&A deal number 666 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.
AgileBlue, founded in 2020, is based in Cleveland, Ohio. The company has 31 employees listed on LinkedIn. AgileBlue's areas of expertise include cybersecurity, network security, cloud security, security operations centers (SOCs) and eXtended detection and response (XDR).
Crowe, founded in 1942, is based in Chicago, Illinois. The company has 8,008 employees listed on LinkedIn. Crowe's areas of expertise include audits, taxes and technology.
What the Acquisition Means for AgileBlue and Crowe
Crowe has become a certified Global Alliance Reseller of the AgileBlue 24x7 SOC and XDR platform, the company noted. In doing so, AgileBlue can provide Crowe's customers with cloud-based cybersecurity technologies and services.
In addition, AgileBlue will offer additional threat detection technology and response services to Crowe's customers and increase their access to data security services, the company stated. AgileBlue also will extend its reach in North America, South America, Asia and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
AgileBlue Adds $3 Million in Funding, Partners with SecurityScorecard
The Crowe MDR platform acquisition comes after AgileBlue in March 2022 raised $3 million in a preferred funding round. At this time, AgileBlue added Tribeca Early Stage Partners as an investor.
Previously, AgileBlue in February 2022 partnered with SecurityScorecard, a cybersecurity ratings and risk management provider. The partnership allows AgileBlue to provide its customers with an internal "Cyber Risk Score" through its proprietary algorithms and an external security posture through SecurityScorecard, the company said.
How MSSPs and MSPs Can Partner with AgileBlue
MSSPs and MSPs can join AgileBlue's partner program to deliver SOC-as-a-service (SOCaaS) and use it to monitor customers' applications, cloud platforms, devices and networks, the company said. They also can access a white-label security dashboard, marketing collateral, sales content and other program resources and tools.
AgileBlue has added at least 50 channel partners in the last 12 months, the company reported in March 2022. It continues to explore channel partnerships and support customers of all sizes and across all industries from around the world.
