apexanalytix has purchased Darkbeam for an undisclosed sum, the companies announced September 26.
This is technology M&A deal number 264 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2023.
apexanalytix, founded in 1988, is based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The company has 433 employees listed on LinkedIn. apexanalytix's areas of expertise include supply chain software, data and analytics.
Darkbeam, founded in 2017, is based in London, England. The company has eight employees listed on LinkedIn. Darkbeam's areas of expertise include cyber vulnerability and threat management.

apexanalytix said the acquisition Darkbeam marks a milestone in its mission to provide risk management solutions to organizations around the world. apexanalytix customers can now "sense and reduce risk to their critical operations caused by cyberattacks on the suppliers in the supply chain," the company said.
In addition, Darkbeam provides apexanalytix customers with the ability to discover cyberattacks in real-time and on the dark web, apexanalytix CEO Steve Yurko noted. As such, Darkbeam ensures that apexanalytix customers can continuously monitor their supply chains and protect against cyberattacks and data breaches.
