Arctic Wolf, a security operations platform provider, now offers the Incident Response (IR) JumpStart Retainer solution that allows organizations to "build an incident response plan tailor-made to their businesses' needs," said Scott Holewinski, the company's SVP of incident response.

IR JumpStart Retainer Examined

IR JumpStart Retainer guides organizations through an online process for collecting the information they need to quickly respond to incidents, Arctic Wolf noted. It also lets organizations work with Arctic Wolf security experts to review their incident response plans and get insights on how to optimize them.

In addition, IR JumpStart provides organizations with a quick response service-level agreement (SLA) that gives them access to a team of incident response experts, Arctic Wolf said. These experts are guaranteed to respond to cyber incidents in under an hour and bill for any work at an hourly rate.

Arctic Wolf Expands Globally, Adds Funding

The IR JumpStart announcement comes after Arctic Wolf in October 2022 released its security operations solutions in Australia and New Zealand. In doing so, organizations in Australia and New Zealand can use these solutions to "defend against modern cyber threats," according to Arctic Wolf.

Furthermore, Arctic Wolf in October 2022 closed a convertible notes offering in the aggregate principal amount of $401 million. The financing helps Arctic Wolf address "the security operations gap faced by businesses of all sizes," CEO Nick Schneider said. It also supports Arctic Wolf's mission to continue to develop new capabilities, technologies and services to help companies protect against cyber risk.

Previously, Arctic Wolf was looking to raise roughly $300 million in convertible debt while it waited for more favorable conditions in the IPO (initial public offering) market, The Information reported in August 2022. Prior to that, Arctic Wolf had been planning to pursue an IPO in 2022. However, Arctic Wolf changed its IPO plan in February 2022 as financial markets weakened, SC Media reported at the time.

Arctic Wolf offers a Security Operations Cloud platform that ingests and analyzes more than two trillion security events a week from across the globe. It provides a partner program that allows MSSPs and MSPs to integrate its security operations capabilities into their portfolios.
