BlackBerry Combines Cylance, Enterprise Partner Programs

BlackBerry has consolidated its Enterprise and Cylance Partner Programs into a new global partner program, according to a prepared statement. The news comes during the BlackBerry Security Summit 2020, a virtual conference that started today.

The new partner program provides BlackBerry's reseller and distribution partners with access to the company's entire solution portfolio, the business said. It also offers a Partner Protection' feature, which allows partners to register their deals to receive higher discounts by working with BlackBerry's field sales teams.

Other BlackBerry partner program features include:

  • Partner portal
  • Deal registration program
  • Online modular training curriculum
  • Not-for-resale licenses
  • Demand generation and sales support

In addition, the partner program offers multiple partner distinction levels, which provide various benefits and discounts to partners based on their annual new business revenue targets and technical capabilities, BlackBerry said. The program provides select value-added distributors (VADs) with the ability to obtain back-end rebates for achieving new business growth targets as well.

BlackBerry Eyes Channel Growth

Along with BlackBerry's global partner program, BlackBerry Guard, the company's managed detection and response (MDR) cybersecurity service, is preparing a channel partner push, BlackBerry CEO John Chen said last month. Meanwhile, Chen credited channel partners and some of its product groups for his company's financial performance in the second quarter of fiscal year 2021.

Furthermore, BlackBerry Cylance in March updated its North America Partner Program to help channel partners increase their margins and drive renewals, according to the company. BlackBerry Cylance also integrated SafeBreach data breach and attack simulation capabilities into its portfolio in January.
