Blackpoint Cyber is offering its Managed Application Control solution to simplify security management and improve productivity for MSPs and the businesses they serve, according to a prepared statement.
Commenting on the new release and what it means for MSPs and their customers Blackpoint CEO Jon Murchison said:

What Blackpoint Cyber Managed Application Control Offers
Managed Application Control provides a "managed list of applications to block, around-the-clock threat detection of unauthorized application use and real-time response to threats," Blackpoint indicated. As such, the solution helps MSPs and their customers ensure that only authorized applications are running on devices and reduce the risk of unauthorized activity or malware infiltration.
Managed Application Control lets MSPs create custom security rules for their perimeters and their customers' and provides them with a prepackaged, regularly updated list of policies designed to risky applications, the company said. If an application is blocked, Blackpoint's security operations center (SOC) investigates and stops any intrusion attempts.
Managed Application Control is available via the Blackpoint Response cybersecurity solutions.
Introducing Blackpoint University for MSPs
The Managed Application Control release comes after Blackpoint in April 2023 launched the Blackpoint University learning platform for MSPs.
Blackpoint University provides MSPs with access to sales and technical cybersecurity training and lessons from leaders in the military, intelligence and business communities, the company noted.
Meanwhile, Blackpoint will host its inaugural Blackpoint University event at the IT Nation Secure conference on June 5, 2023 in Orlando, Florida. Event attendees can participate in courses in leadership, finance, sales and marketing, threat operations, insurance and compliance.
Blackpoint provides an ecosystem of services backed by its MDR technology. It partners with MSPs through its MSProtect program.
