Bitglass, a cloud access security broker (CASB) in Gartner's Magic Quadrant, has appointed Jon Peppler as its VP of worldwide channels and Benjamin Rice as its VP of worldwide business development. Peppler now manages Bitglass' channel partnerships, and Rice handles the company's technology partnerships.
Peppler most recently served as senior director of Americas channel sales at Menlo Security and has more than 20 years of channel experience. Rice previously held senior management roles at Blue Coat Systems, Egnyte and Ositis Software.
Bitglass looks poised to expand its channel and technology partnerships, as well as capitalize on the rising demand for CASB solutions globally.
Bitglass has nearly 200 channel partners worldwide, the company indicated. Going forward, Peppler will explore ways to increase Bitglass' channel presence and drive the company's 3X annual growth rate.
Meanwhile, Rice is expected to help Bitglass develop and deploy new technology integrations, the company indicated. These integrations will ensure Bitglass' technology partners can use the company's hybrid CASB solution to protect customer data on any application or device.
Global CASB market revenues are projected to grow, too. These revenues are expected to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17.8 percent between 2016 and 2025 and could total nearly $16.7 billion by 2025, according to industry analyst HTF Market Intelligence.
