Sumo Logic has gained traction with MSSPs and MDR (managed detection and response) service providers in Europe, the cloud-based SIEM (security information and event management) software company says.
Existing and new EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) partners include MDR provider eSentire and IT consulting firm Computacenter. Key distribution partners in the region include Westcon, e92plus and ICOS, Sumo Logic adds.
Sumo Logic EMEA Revenue Clues, Competition
Among the use cases: eSentire's managed SIEM service leverages Sumo Logic's cloud software, according to Piers Morgan, VP and GM of EMEA at eSentire.
Sumo Logic did not disclose actual euro revenue figures. But VP of Finance Jennifer McCord provided this revenue clue during the company's September 9, 2021 earnings call. The channel business generated triple-digit year-over-year growth in APAC (Asia Pacific) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) during the quarter ended July 31, 2021.
Still, Sumo Logic faces some potential competitive pressures from cloud-based SIEM upstarts such as Securonix and Blumira, MSSP Alert believes. Also, Google Chronicle and Microsoft Azure Sentinel are gaining momentum with some MSSPs.
Sumo Logic: From Cloud SIEM to SOAR
Rather than resting on its laurels, Sumo Logic is branching out into cloud-based SOAR (security orchestration, automation and response) -- based on the DF Labs acquisition.
What are the potential MSSP benefits for using cloud SIEM and SOAR in tandem? Perhaps answers will surface during the Sumo Logic Illuminate 2021 virtual user conference — on September 28 and 29.
