ControlCase has integrated its IT security certifications and continuous compliance services into ConnectWise Manage, a professional services automation (PSA) software widely used by MSPs.
The result: MSSPs, MSPs and VARs can more effectively manage Governance, Risk Management and Compliance related to IT operations, ControlCase indicated. Indeed, the software allows users to address regulations and standards such as PCI DSS, ISO27001/2, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), GLBA, HIPAA, CoBIT, BITS SIG/AUP, J-Sox, and TG3.
Furthermore, the integration supports security milestone planning, ControlCase said. It lets users view their organization's regulatory compliance status and provides a holistic view of its security and compliance actions.
MSP Compliance and Security: Names to Know
Multiple companies in the MSP technology market are assisting with compliance-related activities. Examples include:
- Compliancy Group, best known for HIPAA-related compliance services.
- Prescott, known for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance efforts in the MSP government and contractor market.
Meanwhile, ConnectWise continues to round out its own software and services portfolio with security-oriented solutions. Key moves include acquiring Perch Security, an MDR (managed detection & response) provider to MSPs.
