Critical Start, a Top 100 MSSP, has launched a managed detection and response (MDR) service for Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP).
Critical Start's MDR service enables Microsoft Defender ATP users to isolate machines, initiate endpoint scans and triage alerts from native Android and iOS applications, the company said. That way, Microsoft Defender ATP users can leverage their mobile devices to gather security information and defend against cyberattacks.
Furthermore, Critical Start's MDR service reduces false-positive and redundant security alerts for Microsoft Defender ATP users, according to the company. It also may help Microsoft Defender ATP users reduce overall security alerts by up to 99 percent.
Critical Start Partners with Chronicle, Announces Backstory Support
In addition to its Microsoft Defender ATP release, Critical Start in March unveiled managed services for the Chronicle Backstory global security telemetry platform. Critical Start announced its Backstory managed services at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, California.
Backstory users can leverage Critical Start's managed services for threat hunting and incident investigation, the companies stated. They also can leverage the services in conjunction with Backstory to analyze security data and perform queries across security logs, network events and other data sets.
