CrowdStrike and Google Cloud Expand Partnership to Secure AI Development

As AI development accelerates, security teams face mounting challenges in protecting sensitive data, models, and infrastructure. Traditional security tools often lag behind the speed and scale of modern DevOps and AI workflows—especially within hybrid and cloud-native environments. In response to this growing complexity, CrowdStrike has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud, introducing new capabilities in its Falcon® Cloud Security platform that address the full spectrum of risks across the AI lifecycle.

Through this extended collaboration, Google Cloud customers can now benefit from deeper, integrated security at every stage of AI innovation. From build to runtime, Falcon Cloud Security is designed to detect, prevent, and respond to threats that can compromise containerized workloads, misconfigured environments, or exposed data. This includes early-stage vulnerability detection through AI image scanning, compliance enforcement for ARM64 containers, and runtime protection features such as container escape detection for managed services like Google Cloud Run.

These features are purpose-built for the unique demands of AI deployment pipelines. For instance, AI Image Scanning allows development teams to identify insecure packages or misconfigurations during the build phase—before those risks make it to production. ARM64 Compliance Enforcement ensures that containers meet organizational and regulatory standards, preventing non-compliant instances from moving further down the pipeline. And for workloads that reach runtime, Container Escape Detection helps stop lateral movement and exploit attempts that target running AI applications.

Beyond real-time protections, Falcon Cloud Security incorporates capabilities for continuous posture management and threat simulation. AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM) provides visibility into risks tied to model development environments, infrastructure, and policies. Falcon Data Protection adds safeguards for sensitive information handled during AI training and inference. Meanwhile, AI Red Team Services help organizations identify weaknesses and validate defenses through simulated attacks on their AI systems.

This end-to-end approach gives security and DevOps teams a unified platform to manage cloud, data, and AI risk without slowing innovation. It’s particularly relevant as organizations increasingly move toward hybrid development models and container-based deployment strategies. By embedding security controls directly into Google Cloud environments and development workflows, CrowdStrike aims to provide a security foundation that keeps pace with evolving AI use cases.

With this expansion, CrowdStrike reinforces its role in helping organizations secure modern cloud estates and AI workloads, while simplifying tool sprawl and enabling more proactive defense strategies. The integration also reflects broader industry momentum toward cloud-native security platforms that offer both breadth and depth across infrastructure, identity, data, and application layers.
