Empire Technologies Risk Management Group (ETRM Group), a cybersecurity, information governance and risk management company, has acquired legal discovery services provider L2 Services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ETRM Group: Multiple Acquisitions, Latest Purchase Explained
ETRM Group, which launched in September 2020, has been busy on the M&A front. Earlier acquisitions include:
- February 2022: The cybersecurity and data protection practice of Washington, D.C.-based Palmeiro & Platt Law Firm.
- December 2021: Legal cloud solutions company GoldMind.
In the latest deal, L2 will operate as an ETRM Group subsidiary. The acquired business will continue to provide legal discovery services, along with ETRM Group's offerings. L2 complements ETRM Group's enterprise data management practice for corporations, law firms and government organizations, the companies said. It also enables ETRM Group to expand its litigation support services.
Furthermore, L2 allows ETRM Group to provide premium support for digital and print data throughout the information and litigation lifecycle, ETRM Group Chief People Officer Eric Singer said. In doing so, L2 helps ETRM Group keep pace with organizations' evolving data management and data protection needs.
