eSentire, a Top 250 MSSP and Top 20 managed detection and response (MDR) service provider, has hired Bryan Sartin as its chief services officer. Sartin will build on eSentire's MDR services and expand the company's cyber investigations, digital forensics and incident response capabilities, according to a prepared statement.
Sartin has more than 25 years of information security industry experience. He most recently served as global security services leader for Verizon Cybertrust and oversaw the company's security consulting, systems integration, breach response and cyber intelligence functions.
In addition, Sartin has led more than 500 breach investigations for commercial enterprises and government agencies. He also has testified in front of the U.S. House of Representatives and served as a fact witness in some of the largest data breaches on record.
Sartin represents "one of the world’s top incident response experts," eSentire CEO Kerry Bailey said. He will lead eSentire's forensics and incident response team and help the company bolster its incident response services.
Furthermore, eSentire looks poised to "make a difference in the incident response market," Sartin said. The company will explore ways to help organizations combat cyberattacks, so they can improve their customer experiences and shorten their SLAs.
The Sartin hire comes after eSentire recently introduced several Microsoft security offerings.
eSentire in October announced a partnership with robotic process automation (RPA) company UiPath to deliver end-to-end security policy automation across various Microsoft Security services. It also unveiled the Cloud Automation Security Assistant (CASA) for Microsoft security products.
