Exabeam Delivers SIEM Visualization Feature, Names New CEO

Exabeam's release of Outcomes Navigator delivers a visualization feature integrated into its New-Scale security information and event management (SIEM) product portfolio.

Outcomes Navigator is designed to help security teams "visualize continuous detection coverage improvement against key security use cases across their business and IT environments," according to Exabeam.

Meanwhile, Exabeam has appointed Adam Geller as its CEO. Geller replaces Michael DeCesare, who is stepping down as Exabeam's CEO and president but will continue to serve as a board advisor, the company announced.

Exabeam Provides an Interactive View of an Organization's Security Coverage

Outcomes Navigator is built on the Exabeam Security Operations Platform, the company stated. It shows security teams how well their IT environments are configured to protect against various cyber threats and provides recommendations on areas where these teams can improve their organizations' security posture.

In addition, Outcomes Navigator shares coverage adaptability and the impact of MITRE ATT&CK tactics and techniques for common use case sub-categories. They include:

  • Compromised credentials
  • Cryptomining
  • Data theft
  • Lateral movement
  • Phishing
  • Ransomware

Andy Skrei, Exabeam's senior director of product management, shared his thoughts on how Outcomes Navigator benefits security teams:

"Outcomes Navigator is a game-changer for cybersecurity teams who, until now, have had to blindly trust that their SIEM is ingesting the right logs and then also extracting the right fields inside those logs to best protect their organizations. In too many cases, organizations have detection content turned on that will never trigger if something abnormal happens because the right data fields are not being extracted from the ingested logs. Outcomes Navigator fixes this SIEM industry problem once and for all with the deepest cross examination of logs and detection logic."

Outcomes Navigator is now available to Exabeam New-Scale SIEM customers for all licenses.

Adam Geller Drives Exabeam's Cloud-Native Product Strategy

Geller is a 25-year information security industry veteran who has served as Exabeam's chief produce officer (CPO) for the last three years, the company noted. As CPO, Geller rearchitected Exabeam's products to be cloud-native. He also launched Exabeam's New-Scale SIEM product portfolio.

DeCesare commented on what Geller offers as Exabem's CEO:

"Having worked alongside Adam for the last two years, I wholeheartedly agree he is the right choice for CEO. A cloud-native product strategy is critical for the success of the company and Exabeam will benefit from a CEO with such an established and proven cloud-delivered product background at the helm."

Geller also shared his thoughts on his time at Exabeam and what he hopes to accomplish as the company's CEO:

"It has been a privilege to work alongside since he joined the company in 2021. I appreciate the continued support of the executive leadership team and the board as we work to advance security operations and accelerate threat detection, investigation and response with our cloud-native New-Scale SIEM portfolio."

Exabeam provides SIEM products that blend security log management, behavioral analytics and automated investigation capabilities, the company noted. It also offers a partner program for MSSPs, managed detection and response (MDR) providers and other technology providers.
