FileCloud, a file-sharing and content collaboration provider, and zero trust content security company Votiro are protecting their joint customers against potential threats from infected files.
Organizations can use Votiro's Positive Selection Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) technology to detect, disarm and deliver safe files during FileCloud deployments, the companies said.
How Votiro's Positive Selection CDR Technology Works
Positive Selection CDR sanitizes inbound and outbound files and constructs new, fully functional versions of them, Votiro noted. It extracts clean, safe objects to create new files and enables users to detect and neutralize zero-day threats that security software often does not detect.
Furthermore, Positive Selection CDR organizes files into content, templates and objects prior to reconstruction, Votiro indicated. As such, Positive Selection CDR is guaranteed to deliver safe files to users in milliseconds.
What the Partnership Means for the Companies' Joint Customers
Together, FileCloud and Votiro are providing their joint customers with "a powerful toolset to minimize risk around content entering their environment that could be leveraged as a vector by threat actors," FileCloud Chief Product Officer Jason Dover said. That way, these customers can securely access content from any location, at any time.
FileCloud and Votiro promote "safe and secure content collaboration and exchange," Votiro CEO Ravi Srinivasan noted. They also empower their joint customers to protect against file-based threats.
Zero Trust Content Protection for MSSPs, MSPs
The FileCloud partnership announcement comes after Votiro in July 2023 launched the Accelerate Partner Program and MSP Dashboard.
Accelerate enables MSSPs, MSPs and technology resellers and distributors to integrate Votiro's CDR technology into their offerings, the company said.
Meanwhile, the MSP Dashboard provides users with a single control center where they can display, filter and create zero trust content security reports from multiple tenants, Votiro stated.
Votiro offers zero trust content security solutions to hundreds of commercial and government organizations worldwide. Along with FileCloud, Votiro has partnered with Sumo Logic, Owl Cyber Defense and other cybersecurity and technology companies.
