GrayMatter now provides its customers with access to network audit solutions from Network Perception.
Network Perception enables GrayMatter customers to use its visualization and verification capabilities for network segmentation, the companies said in a prepared statement. These customers can utilize Network Perception's NP-View platform to monitor their operational technology (OT) networks and protect against cyber threats.
How NP-View Works
NP-View provides assessment reports and security alerts to help organizations identify potential network risks, Network Perception noted. The platform isolates a network assessment team from an organization's management systems. In doing so, NP-View provides a secure barrier to prevent accidental system changes.
NP-View also lets organizations perform network connectivity path analyses, Network Perception said. The platform allows organizations to view network paths and adjacent ones, and NP-View helps organizations identify network vulnerabilities.
Furthermore, NP-View offers audit assistants that allow organizations to verify that their networks are running in accordance with cybersecurity regulations and prepare audit-ready artifacts, Network Perception indicated. NP-View provides a topology map of an organization's network architecture as well. This map helps users identify and label cyber assets and network zones and see which devices are protecting various network zones.
Network Perception Partners with Check Point Software Technologies, Adds Funding
The GrayMatter partnership comes after Check Point Software Technologies in November 2022 integrated NP-View into its offerings. Check Point customers can use NP-View to protect their OT assets and analyze their network security posture, the companies said.
In addition, NP-View lets users leverage the Check Point Security Management Restful API to import network device configurations, visualize their network architecture and identify all points of network connectivity and potential exposure of protected assets.
Previously, Network Perception in May 2022 raised $13 million in Series A funding. The company is using the funding to find ways to address the OT network cybersecurity needs of critical industries, expand into new vertical and international markets and establish strategic partnerships, the company stated. Meanwhile, the funding brings Network Perception's total financing to date to $15.73 million.
Network Perception offers products and solutions that organizations can use to verify and visualize their critical infrastructure network security, the company indicated. Along with GrayMatter and Check Point, Network Perception has established technical partnerships with Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks and other cybersecurity and technology companies.
