High Wire Networks (HWN), a Top 250 MSSP, has appointed Stephan Tallent as chief revenue officer for its Overwatch Managed Security Services division.
Tallent previously held key posts at Stellar Cyber, Cybereason and Fortinet, where he helped each security company engage and support its MSSP partners.
Tallent most recently served as worldwide vice president for Stellar Cyber. Previously, he was senior director of MSSPs at Fortinet and directed the day-to-day operations of a more than $100 million MSSP support organization where he grew year-over-year MSSP partner revenue by 244%, according to HWN.
Tallent also was vice president of MSSPs for the North American division of Cybereason and designed and launched the company's MSSP program.
What the Stephan Tallent Hire Means for HWN
Tallent has "vast knowledge of the MSSP journey" and cements the company's position in the channel as a trusted authority, CEO Mark Porter said. He is expected to help HWN extend its managed security services to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprises and drive the growth of its Overwatch division.
The Tallent hire comes after HWN reported a 373% year-over-year revenue increase across its Overwatch business in the third quarter of 2022. HWN also continues to explore opportunities to bolster its Overwatch business and invest in security automation tools, marketing and channel partner enablement programs, Porter noted.
Overwatch Adds SOAR Capabilities for MSSP, MSP Reseller Partners
HWN integrated security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) capabilities into its Overwatch services in May 2022. In doing so, HWN's MSSP and MSP reseller partners can use Overwatch to automate their security operations, respond to security incidents and hunt for threats across customer environments, the company noted.
In addition, they can utilize Overwatch's SOAR capabilities in combination with its security operations center (SOC), eXtended detection and response (XDR) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) technologies to speed up threat remediation and response.
MSSPs, MSPs, VARs, distributors, integrators, manufacturers and telecommunications providers can partner with HWN and incorporate its Overwatch services into their portfolios. HWN also provides the Overwatch Managed Security Marketplace, which enables its partners to sell cybersecurity on a subscription basis.
