IBM Security X-Force Red, a team of white hat hackers that helps organizations uncover security vulnerabilities, now uses Onapsis enterprise resource planning (ERP) cybersecurity technology to provide SAP and Oracle application vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Furthermore, Onapsis is working with the IBM Security Services group to deliver compliance support, threat monitoring and other cybersecurity services.

X-Force Red customers can sign up for SAP and Oracle application cybersecurity tests, evaluate test results and view remediation recommendations. They also can communicate with X-Force Red testers via the X-Force Red Portal communications and collaboration platform.

The X-Force Red partnership is one of several recent moves that Onapsis has made to grow its global ERP security partner ecosystem.

Onapsis last month appointed channel veteran Darren Gaeta as its VP of worldwide alliances. In this role, Gaeta manages Onapsis' strategic alliances, channel activities and MSSP and technology partner engagements.

Also, Onapsis in January announced plans to acquire SAP security solutions provider Virtual Forge for an undisclosed sum; the acquisition is expected to close by the end of June. The Virtual Forge acquisition enables Onapsis to provide organizations with incident response, management, compliance and visibility across SAP applications and expand globally.

What Is Onapsis?

Onapsis provides the Onapsis Security Platform to more than 200 customers worldwide. This platform includes context-aware solutions that deliver preventative vulnerability and compliance controls and real-time threat detection and incident response capabilities.

Meanwhile, Onapsis offers a managed service provider (MSP) program to MSSPs and other channel partners that deliver applications running on SAP and Oracle platforms. This program enables channel partners to deploy Onapsis as a cloud-based, standalone solution or as part of an integrated suite of managed security services.

Channel partners can leverage Onapsis services in conjunction with key security logging and networking infrastructure, SAP platforms and governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) capabilities. They also can use Onapsis services for threat intelligence reporting.
