Splashtop Builds Out Remote Access and Security Offering
Foxpass' brand and product lines will remain intact and become a part of Splashtop’s IT solutions suite, the companies stated. They enable organizations to use Splashtop's remote access and support with Foxpass' identity and access management (IAM) security platform.
Splashtop will retain Foxpass employees and invest resources to accelerate Foxpass' product roadmap. Also, Splashtop will support Foxpass' customers and increase its customer base to over 250,000.
In addition, Splashtop and Foxpass will ensure that organizations "can remain productive while addressing modern security challenges," Splashtop CEO Mark Lee said. The companies will empower organizations to embrace hybrid work models. At the same time, they will help these organizations protect against current and emerging cyber threats.
Splashtop Adds Antivirus Protection
The Foxpass acquisition comes after Splashtop in February 2023 announced its Splashtop Antivirus technology powered by Bitdefender. To date, Splashtop Antivirus has been integrated into several Splashtop products. The technology allows MSPs and IT teams to protect their endpoints against viruses and other cyber threats, the company said.
Splashtop offers secure remote access and remote support software used by more than 30 million people globally. It provides the Splashtop PartnerConnect Ecosystem, which includes reseller, integration and co-marketing partners that leverage Splashtop's products to offer remote access solutions and services.
