The MSSP 250 list is one of the most prestigious and viewed lists of service providers in the industry, ranking the top cybersecurity service providers in the world. In years past, MSSP Alert would unveil our list of the top 250 MSSPs during a webcast in the September/October timeframe. This year we are changing that.

For the first time ever, we will reveal the MSSP 250 list at our must-attend cybersecurity services event, MSSP Alert Live, in Austin, October 14-16.

Register here today — early bird rates expire on September 6.

In addition to the big reveal, our MSSP 250 companies will be honored at an exclusive evening celebration party. You won’t want to miss this one, which will be sponsored by Stellar Cyber.

MSSP Alert Live 2024: AI, Cybersecurity Liability, Insurance, More

This year's MSSP Alert Live is centered around several themes, with learning and networking opportunities for MSPs and MSSPs. Here's some of what we have in store for you.

Artificial Intelligence

There are so many aspects to AI for MSPs and MSSPs:

  • Cybersecurity faces a critical talent gap with more open jobs than there are qualified workers to fill them.
  • MSP and MSSP customers are planning to implement AI to enhance efficiency. But do they understand the data privacy and security requirements that must be addressed before implementing tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT?
  • Plus, How do you defend against the bad guys leveraging AI?

We’re offering several sessions at MSSP Alert Live that will help MSPs and MSSPs tackle the big opportunities, issues and questions around AI.

  • How AI Can Help with Incident Response. Learn how ConnectWise leveraged AI for its response to the ScreenConnect vulnerability crisis this year, and how team used it for crisis communications, too.
  • The AI Opportunity: Use Cases for MSPs/MSSPs and End Customers. We’ve assembled the leading-edge MSP AI pioneers helping customers with implementing AI. Find out the business case for MSPs/MSSPs to provide both project work and ARR work.
  • How to Understand and Protect Against AI-Enabled Cyber Attacks. The bad guys are using AI, too. The fact that phishing attacks are getting harder to spot is just one example. Learn about what the bad guys are doing and how you can protect against these threats.

Cybersecurity Liability

High profile cases this year were the first to examine the question, who is liable for a breach. In one case a law firm sued its MSP over a ransomware attack and another case pitted a data analytics consulting firm against an MSP.

Is your company safe from cyber liability lawsuits?

Top MSP/MSSP attorney Eric Tilds will share updates on the state of liability for MSPs and MSSPs. Plus, he’ll provide best practices for service providers to be proactive and protect themselves from liability.

The State of Cybersecurity Insurance and Warranties

What do MSPs and MSSPs need to know about cybersecurity insurance and cyber warranties right now and in 2025? We’re taking a closer look at the issues with a mainstage panel that includes Dustin Bolander, an MSP who got fed up with the insurance companies so he became a broker and ultimately created his own insurance policy for MSP customers. He’ll be joined on stage by John Roberts, the head of cybersecurity services for cybersecurity insurance company Coalition, and Timothy Guim, one of the MSP pioneers offering customers cyber warranties through his partnership with the vendor Cork.

In a later breakout session, you’ll hear about Bolander’s journey from MSP to broker to channel advisor for a cybersecurity insurance company to designing a policy specifically for MSP customers.

What Else? Lots. We’ve got an action packed few days for MSPs and MSSP. Here are just a few of the other sessions you won’t want to miss:
