1. MSSP Partner Program Launches: ArmorText has launched its Partner Enablement Program to equip MSSPs, global systems integrators, law firms and digital forensics and incident response retainer services providers with advanced tools to secure sensitive communications within the evolving cyber threat landscape. ArmorText is the only Secure Out of Band Collaboration tool to offer 100% end-to-end encrypted messaging, voice and video conferencing, file share and retained records in a 100% cloud deployment, the company said.
2. Workplace Security Integration: SafeGuard Cyber has announced the integration of its FirstSight platform with Slack to address the critical need for enhanced business communication security in the digital workspace. This integration introduces SafeGuard Cyber's security features into the Slack app ecosystem, fortifying this collaboration tool against cyber threats, the company said.
3. Attack Surface and Pentesting Release: Synack, a security testing platform provider, has launched a continuous attack surface discovery offering and scalable AI penetration testing to help security teams stay ahead of evolving threats. Synack's Attack Surface Discovery allows enterprises to reveal their external attack surfaces and make that data actionable, pairing continuous discovery with pentesting as a service (PTaaS), the company said.
4. Browser Security for MSPs: Atakama, a specialist in cybersecurity solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), has released its Atakama Browser Security Platform for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The release follows a series of more than 40 beta deployments positioning Atakama to change how MSPs safeguard their clients' browser, the company said.
5. MSP Support Initiative: Lansweeper, a technology asset intelligence company, has announced new investments in services, support and tools designed to help MSPs take advantage of its IT asset discovery and inventory solutions. This effort includes bolstering its channel team with additional MSP experts, creating a pay-as-you-go pricing model for these providers, launching a new multi-site portal to enable unified multi-site management, and other essential resources customized for MSPs, the company said.
6. Leadership Move: Deepwatch, a managed security platform provider, has named Curt Aubley chief operating officer and chief product officer. In this role, Aubley will lead the product and security operations teams, including delivering the next generation of the Deepwatch platform to include AI-driven capabilities as well as open, seamless integrations with a wide array of customer’s data sources.
7. New CEO Named: Cybersecurity startup Morphisec has appointed Ron Reinfeld as the new CEO. Reinfeld joined Morphisec three years ago as its chief financial officer. He replaces Ronen Yehoshua, who will remain at the company in the role of president after nine years as CEO. Before joining Morphisec, Reinfeld served as chief financial at IntSights (acquired by Rapid7) and also at Zooz (acquired by PayU). He has held various financial and operations roles at Cloudshare, Clarizen, and Ernst & Young.
8. Defense Security Partnership: SimSpace, a specialist in military-grade cyber ranges, and Carahsoft Technology Corp., a government IT solutions provider, have announced a partnership. Under the agreement, Carahsoft will serve as SimSpace's Master Government Aggregator, making the company's cyber ranges and cybersecurity training solutions available to the public sector.
9. Blackcat Blamed for Healthcare Systems Attack: UnitedHealth Group reported that a cyberattack at its tech unit, Change Healthcare, was perpetrated by hackers who identified themselves as the Blackcat ransomware group. The company said its experts were working with law enforcement authorities and third-party consultants to gauge the impact on its customers and patients. (Source: Reuters)
