1. Bitdefender Debuts Hardening, Attack Surface Reduction Technology: Bitdefender has brought to market GravityZone Proactive Hardening and Attack Surface Reduction (PHASR), a technology that transforms how defense-in-depth-security is applied and managed across businesses. GravityZone PHASR analyzes individual user behavior such as application use, resource privileges and others, clustering users into groups with similar patterns. This approach ensures security policies and controls are mapped precisely to user intended privileges and behaviors, dynamically adjusting as the attack surface evolves, Bitdefender said.
2. Integrity360 Launches CTEM as a Service: Integrity360, a pan-European cybersecurity specialist, has launched its new Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) as a Service in collaboration with XM Cyber, hybrid cloud exposure management provider. Designed to enable organizations to manage their cybersecurity risks more effectively by identifying and prioritizing exposures across their entire estate, CTEM as a Service provides businesses with the holistic support needed to identify and mitigate their most pressing cyber risks, the company said.
3. EC-Council Unleashes AI-Powered Ethical Hackers on Cybercrime: EC-Council, a cybersecurity certification, education and training provider, has launched Certified Ethical Hacker CEH v13 with AI-powered capabilities. The cybersecurity certification program integrates AI learning into ethical hacking practices, giving professionals advanced skills and tools to battle global cybercriminals. CEH v13 provides in-depth training by integrating AI into all five phases of ethical hacking, from reconnaissance and scanning to gaining access, maintaining access and covering tracks to help bridge the AI chasm, the company said.
4. Rapid7 Adds Extended Ecosystem Support of Third-Party Detections: Rapid7, a specialist in extended risk and threat detection, has added third-party detections for defense in-depth with Managed Threat Complete (MTC), the company’s managed detection and response (MDR) solution. Rapid7’s global service now includes coverage for CrowdStrike Falcon, SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, the company said.
5. DigiCert Acquires Vercara: DigiCert, a digital trust specialist, has completed its acquisition of Vercara, a cloud-based security services provider, including managed authoritative domain name system (DNS) and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) security offerings. The acquisition expands DigiCert’s capabilities to protect organizations of all sizes from the growing number of cyberattacks organizations experience each day, according to the companies.
6. ArmorCode Adds Solutions to Manage Penetration Tests: ArmorCode, a specialist in AI-powered Application Security Posture Management (ASPM), has expanded its platform with the launch of two new modules for penetration testing management and exceptions management. Alongside AI-powered correlation and remediation, these modules further advance ArmorCode’s leading platform capabilities to reduce the time, effort and cost of addressing the riskiest vulnerabilities from any source through any remediation, mitigation or exception workflow, the company said.
7. CyberSheath and Chenega Achieve Perfect Score on JSVA Validation: Chenega Corporation has partnered with CyberSheath, a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) managed service vendor, to successfully complete a Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessment (JSVA) validation with a perfect score of 110. The JSVA is a critical component of the CMMC 2.0 framework, which will take effect in early 2025, and a requirement for contracting with the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
