Today’s MSSP Alert Market News:

1. MSP Security Solution Debuts: Mosyle, an Apple unified platform provider, has launched Mosyle Fuse MSP, a solution that integrates five critical management and security applications into a single, Apple-only product specifically designed for MSPs. By combining mobile device management, endpoint security, internet privacy and security, identity management and application management, Mosyle makes it easier for MSPs to deploy, manage and protect customer Apple devices at scale, the company said.

2. MDR Solution Launch: ESET, a cybersecurity solutions specialist, has launched two new managed detection and response (MDR) subscription tiers: ESET PROTECT MDR for small and medium businesses (SMBs) and ESET PROTECT MDR Ultimate for enterprises. These offerings are built on the foundation of ESET PROTECT Elite and ESET PROTECT Enterprise, offering businesses of all sizes AI-powered threat detection and response capabilities, in combination with expert human analysis and comprehensive threat intelligence, the company said.

3. Cloud Security Partnership: ClearScale, a cloud services specialist, has joined forces with Stream Security, a real-time cloud security provider, to introduce a new approach to managing and optimizing AWS cloud environments. This partnership combines ClearScale's deep AWS expertise with Stream Security's CloudTwin technology, offering businesses continuous compliance and cybersecurity oversight in the cloud, the companies said.

4. Leadership Move: Bitsight, a cyber risk management provider, has appointed Lou Serlenga as chief revenue officer and Rob Dinning as chief legal officer. Serlenga joins Bitsight with a record of driving significant customer value and revenue growth for global cybersecurity and technology firms. Dinning comes to Bitsight with extensive global legal experience as a commercial lawyer at Freshfields and Shearman & Sterling, and as an executive at Ernst & Young (EY), Barclays Bank, RiskMetrics Group and Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS).

5. Incident Response Release: Orca Security, a specialist in agentless cloud security, has brought to market new capabilities and services that enable rapid investigation and response to cloud-native infrastructure attacks. With the general availability of cloud digital forensics and incident response services through a new partnership with ModePUSH, organizations can now triage, investigate and respond to security incidents using intelligence from the Orca Cloud Native Application Protection Platform, the company said.

6. Cyber Merger Closes: CASE, a provider of software development and cloud engineering services to the U.S. intelligence community and private industry, has merged with CyberKinetics, a provider of cloud-based services and cyber solutions to the national security community’s most discerning customers. “CyberKinetics’ team of highly skilled app developers, data scientists and engineers understand the unique challenges that come with migrating to and designing for the secure cloud in the national security sector,” said CASE CEO Paul Farmer. 7. Cyber Insurance Partnership: Digital marketplace CatX, which connects reinsurers and brokers with alternative capital, will advance its capabilities in collaboration with CyberCube, a cyber risk analytics company. The partnership will enable the integration of CyberCube’s Portfolio Manager, a scenario-based catastrophe model that empowers portfolio-level insights for senior leadership decision-making, into CatX’s marketplace, the companies said.

8. Leadership Move: MSP NexusTek has appointed Hamilton Yu as CEO. Hamilton brings over 28 years of experience and expertise to his new role at NexusTek, having recently served as the CEO of Taos prior to joining the NexusTek team.

9. MSP Conference Slated: IT Nation, a global community of peers, thought leader and experts dedicated to elevating the IT ecosystem to new heights, is hosting its annual IT Nation Secure Conference. The event brings together a diverse set of experts from the MSP community for three days of speakers, sessions and peer networking opportunities focused on unlocking, transforming and expanding upon an organization’s cybersecurity posture. IT Nation Secure will be held on June 3-5 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

10. Hacker Alert: A previously undocumented cyber threat dubbed Muddling Meerkat has been observed undertaking sophisticated domain name system (DNS) activities in a likely effort to evade security measures and conduct reconnaissance of networks across the world since October 2019. Cloud security firm Infoblox described the threat actor as likely affiliated with the People's Republic of China (PRC) with the ability to control the Great Firewall, which censors access to foreign websites and manipulates internet traffic to and from the country.
