Today’s MSSP Alert Market News:

1. MSP Offering Debuts: SailPoint Technologies, a specialist in unified identity security for enterprises, has launched a managed service provider (MSP) offering that gives select partners the ability to deliver and manage SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. Joint customers benefit from SailPoint’s depth of expertise in providing a unified approach to identity security that solves complex enterprise identity challenges without having to manage the implementation and ongoing program administration themselves, the company said.

2. XDR Partnership: Stellar Cyber, an open extended detection and response (XDR) specialist, has expanded its existing relationship with Oracle, enabling the deployment of the Stellar Cyber Open XDR Platform in Oracle US Government Cloud. With this new deployment option, Stellar Cyber anticipates an increase in the adoption rate of their security operations platform among the existing state, local and education (SLED) Oracle customer base using Oracle US Government Cloud, the company said.

3. Identity Security Launch: Pentera, a specialist in automated security validation, has announced an integration with SpyCloud, a cybercrime analytics company, to automate the discovery and validation of compromised identities. Pentera uses exposure intelligence data to identify exploitable identities and facilitates targeted remediation to proactively reduce risk, the company said.

4. AI Security Release: CrowdStrike has announced the general availability of Charlotte AI and Falcon for IT, as well as new innovations to Falcon Data Protection, to unify security and IT, unleash the power of generative AI and minimize the data exposure risks. By leveraging multiple foundational AI models, Charlotte AI turns hours of work into minutes or seconds, democratizing cybersecurity and delivering value across the entire Falcon platform, the company said.

5. Cyber Careers Book Releases: Ed Adams, CEO of Security Innovation, a software security assessment and training company, has written a new book that explores the breadth and depth of careers available in cybersecurity. It provides a playbook for how people outside of traditional cybersecurity roles can contribute to their organization’s security. The book, “See Yourself in Cyber: Security Careers Beyond Hacking,” highlights the cybersecurity color wheel of jobs and the way roles not directly associated with security can improve a company’s operations and reduce risk.

6. Ethical Hacker Marketplace: Zerod, a marketplace of ethical hackers for businesses, is now available to democratize cybersecurity services and tools, making them accessible to all types of organizations. The startup combines elite ethical hackers, specialized consultants and automated tools to provide a hybrid approach to conventional penetration testing. The platform addresses the cybersecurity gap, offering high-quality services accessible to all organizations, regardless of size or budget, Zerod said.

7. Browser Security Launch: Menlo Security, a browser security specialist, has launched its cloud-delivered Secure Enterprise Browser solution. Building on the Menlo Secure Cloud Browser, the SaaS solution delivers a comprehensive approach to enterprise browser security, protecting enterprise users where they work and securing applications from internet-borne attacks, the company said.

8. Security Report Released: Dragos, a specialist in cybersecurity for operational technology environments, has released its sixth annual Dragos OT Cybersecurity Year in Review report. The report named the emergence of three new threat groups and found that ransomware continued to be the most reported cyber threat among industrial organizations, with a nearly 50% increase in reported incidents.

9. Firewall Security: Metomic, a provider of data security solutions for protecting sensitive data, has rolled out its new suite of human firewall features for SaaS apps like Google, Slack and MS Teams. The new features will enable security and compliance teams to scale their data security workflows by involving employees directly in the risk remediation process.
