1. Stamus Networks, Array Networks Announce Partnership: Stamus Networks, a global provider of network-based threat detection and response (NDR) systems, and Array Networks, a specialist in application delivery and cybersecurity products, have announced two product collaborations that will unlock new NDR capabilities for organizations. The two joint solutions involve high-speed network traffic decryption for advanced threat detection and response and intelligent traffic optimization and aggregation for high-performance threat detection and response, the companies said.

2. Zenity Offers Agent-Less Security Solution for Microsoft 365 Copilot: Zenity, a specialist in securing enterprise copilots and low-code development, has brought to market an agent-less security solution for Microsoft 365 Copilot with the Zenity AI Trust Layer. Having recently received a strategic round of funding from Microsoft's venture arm, M12, Zenity is continuing to provide support for customers that are leveraging software throughout the Microsoft ecosystem, including this end-to-end solution for Microsoft 365 Copilot, the company said.

3. 80% of Organizations Experienced an Email-Related Security Breach in the Last Year: OPSWAT, a critical infrastructure protection cybersecurity solutions provider, has released the 2024 Report: Email Security Threats Against Critical Infrastructure Organizations. The study revealed that 80% of organizations experienced an email-related security breach over the past year, and 63.3% of respondents acknowledge that their email security approach needs improvement.

4. TechAssure Partners with Zurich Resilience Solutions: TechAssure, an international association dedicated to enhancing corporate insurance and risk management practices for technology-related risks, has announced a strategic partnership with Zurich Resilience Solutions. This collaboration provides TechAssure members with privileged access to Zurich's cyber resilience and risk transfer services, offering cutting-edge tools to protect client data and mitigate risks in an increasingly complex cyber environment, the company said.

5. Picus Security Raises $45 Million: Picus Security, a security validation company, has closed a $45 million growth investment round led by Riverwood Capital with the participation of existing investor Earlybird Digital East Fund, bringing Picus’ total funds raised to $80 million. Picus has more than 500 enterprise customers worldwide, and this latest investment will advance Picus’ continued product innovation and expand customer success, sales and marketing, the company said.

6. High Wire Networks Appoints COO: High Wire Networks, a global provider of managed cybersecurity, has appointed Edward Vasko, CISSP, as chief operations officer. He succeeds Stephen LaMarche, who will remain on the company’s board of directors. Vasko will also continue to serve as chief executive officer of the company’s Overwatch managed cybersecurity services division. Prior to joining High Wire, Vasko served as the director of Boise State University’s Institute of Pervasive Cybersecurity.

7. Red Canary Finds Prevalent Infostealer Targeting macOS Devices: Red Canary, a managed detection and response (MDR) provider, has released a major midyear update to its annual Threat Detection Report, providing insight into how cybersecurity trends, threats and adversary techniques evolved during the first six months of the year. The report confirms the central role of compromised identities in the attacker playbook, while underscoring the need for an operational approach to security to minimize exposure, detect threats faster and reduce risk.

8. Group-IB Contributes to "Operation Kaerb": Group-IB, a creator of cybersecurity technologies to investigate, prevent and fight digital crime, announced that it has contributed an international operation code named "Operation Kaerb." The operation was coordinated by Europol and Ameripol, in partnership with European and Latin American law enforcement agencies and judiciary authorities, which resulted in the arrest of 17 cybercriminals in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Spain, who were behind the iServer phishing-as-a-platform targeting mobile users worldwide. The iServer phishing-as-a-service platform, which was active for five years, is reported by law enforcement investigators to have targeted over 1.2 million mobile phones and claimed approximately 483,000 victims worldwide, Group-IB said. The administrator of the iServer phishing platform, an Argentinian national, was also arrested during the multi-agency law enforcement operation that took place between September 10-17.

9. Somos and Simetric Announce Strategic Partnership: Somos, a specialist in connected asset services, identity management and fraud prevention, and Simetric, an IoT connectivity and edge device lifecycle management platform provider, have formed strategic partnership. Simetric's real-time audit and discovery of active devices establishes a workflow that will be enriched by incorporating SomosID for additional device-level insights, like current firmware and known device vulnerabilities, the companies said.
