1. Stellar Cyber Brings AI to Unified Platform: Stellar Cyber, an Open XDR specialist, is introducing Multi-Layer AI. Multi-Layer AI, incorporating four distinct technologies: machine learning (ML), graph ML, generative AI and hyper automation, all in a single unified platform that reduces threat detection and response time. This new approach leverages AI at multiple steps in the detection, correlation and response process to reduce alert volume, prioritize and correlate threats, counsel analysts and respond automatically, the company said.

2. Arctic Wolf Offers Free Access to JumpStart Platform: Arctic Wolf, a security operations provider, has announced the free availability of the Arctic Wolf Cyber JumpStart Portal. By making a free version of Cyber JumpStart Portal available, businesses of any size can now access a comprehensive suite of cyber risk management tools designed to identify gaps in cybersecurity readiness and provide unique insights to reduce cyber risk and improve insurability, the company said.

3. Qualys Advances Platform with AI: Qualys, a provider of cloud-based IT, security and compliance solutions, is expanding its portfolio with Qualys TotalAI, designed to address the growing challenges and risks associated with securing generative AI and large language model (LLM) applications. The solution specifically addresses the OWASP Top 10 most critical risks for LLM applications: prompt injection, sensitive information disclosure and model theft. With Qualys TotalAI, organizations can securely leverage the benefits of AI while upholding rigorous security standards, the company said.

4. IONIX Launches MSSP Partner Program: IONIX, an Attack Surface Management (ASM) platform provider, has launched its new global partner program, designed to accelerate channel-led growth and enhance the overall security posture of enterprises with ASM solutions. In addition, the company released an MSSPs portal for effective client security management. To support these initiatives, IONIX has appointed Gilad Friedman as vice president of Global Channels and Paul Vick as director of North American Channels.

5. Rapid7 Release Command Platform: Rapid7, an extended risk and threat detection provider, has launched its AI-based Command Platform. This unified threat exposure, detection and response platform allows customers to integrate their critical security data to provide a unified view of vulnerabilities, exposures and threats from endpoint to cloud to close security gaps and prevent attacks. Rapid7 also announced the first two solutions on the Command Platform: Exposure Command, which helps organizations detect and prioritize exposures from endpoint to cloud, and Surface Command, designed to discover and provide deep visibility into the assets, protecting across internal and external attack surfaces, the company said.

6. AI Algorithms Power Swimlane Innovations: Swimlane, a security automation specialist, has unveiled Hero AI innovations, empowering security teams to take decisive action against even the most complex cases, alerts and intelligence at unprecedented speed. Hero AI expands case summarization capabilities with context-aware recommendations, informed by cybersecurity frameworks and customers’ own knowledge base best practices or processes. AI-driven case summaries and recommended actions are now included in AI-augmented post-incident reporting, available in any language, ensuring global collaboration across teams, stakeholders and clients, the company said.

7. Cyber Leaders Launch CTI Group: Intel 471, a provider of cyber intelligence-driven solutions, is sponsoring a partnership of 28 industry leaders serving public and private organizations across the vendor and consumer community. Together, these professionals volunteered their time, effort and experience to launch the first version of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Capability Maturity Model (CTI-CMM), designed as the first-of-its kind vendor agnostic and universally applicable resource to support organizations of all shapes and sizes across the CTI industry, the company said.

8. SentinelOne Announces Innovations: SentinelOne, an AI-powered security specialist, has unveiled a series of new purple AI, cloud, endpoint and identity innovations to the company’s Singularity Platform. Announced at Black Hat 2024, the new offerings and capabilities all leverage generative AI technology, secure-by-design single-agent architecture and data lake capabilities to protect organizations against attacks across any surface, from endpoint and identity to the cloud, the company said.

9. IBM Issues GenAI Updates: IBM has introduced generative AI capabilities to its managed Threat Detection and Response Services utilized by IBM Consulting analysts to advance and streamline security operations for clients. Built on IBM's watsonx data and AI platform, the new IBM Consulting Cybersecurity Assistant is designed to accelerate and improve the identification, investigation and response to critical security threats. The Cybersecurity Assistant will be part of IBM Consulting Advantage, the AI services platform with purpose-built AI assets, the company said.

10. E-C Council Pledges $15 Million to Cyber Training: The White House has announced a $15 million pledge from EC-Council to accelerate skill development in the nation's cyber workforce. EC-Council's pledge will reach more than 50,000 students and advance academic institutions with eight turnkey, hands-on programs to build critical cybersecurity skills across the ethical hacking, network defense, digital forensics, threat intelligence, security operations, IoT security, DevSecOps and cloud security domains through the White House's Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD).
