Netsurion, a Top 200 MSSP that works closely with MSP partners, has integrated the MITRE ATT&CK framework into its EventTracker co-managed security information and event management (SIEM) offering.
The MITRE ATT&CK framework integration provides EventTracker users with access to public knowledge of cybercriminal tactics and techniques, according to Netsurion. In doing so, the framework helps these users quickly and accurately identify cyberattacks and threat actors.
The MITRE ATT&CK framework integration enables Netsurion to empower EventTracker users with insights into cyberattacks and cybercriminals, Chief Strategy Officer A.N. Ananth stated. It also allows Netsurion to provide EventTracker users with common taxonomy that they can leverage to share threat intelligence with one another.
Meanwhile, Netsurion has already transformed its vision of becoming a master MSSP into "a reality," VP of Channel and Alliances Guy Cunningham said last month. The evidence: Netsurion doubled the number of endpoints under management via MSPs and signed up twice as many partners over the previous year in 2019 and has more than 500 partners that use EventTracker to deliver their own security operations center-as-a-service (SOCaaS).
MITRE ATT&CK Framework Gains Support
Multiple cybersecurity companies are backing the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
For instance, Exabeam in October 2019 integrated the framework labels into its Security Management Platform. Details surfaced at Exabeam's Spotlight19 user conference in San Francisco, California.
The MITRE ATT&CK framework provides a globally accessible knowledge base of cybercriminal tactics and techniques. It is based on real world observations and used as a foundation for the development of cyber threat models and methodologies.
