Outsource Group, a UK-based MSP, and Northern Ireland IT security consultant Ansec IA are merging to provide security-centric managed IT services to enterprises in the UK and Ireland, the two companies said.
This is technology M&A deal number 261 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.
Ansec will become a part of Outsource Group. The businesses will span 100 by the end of by the end of 2022, the companies indicated.
A Closer Look at Ansec
Ansec helps organizations identify information security risks and provides advice to mitigate those risks. Key services include:
- Cyber Incident Response: Helps organizations secure their information assets, contain data breaches and perform forensic analyses across their systems.
- Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Training: Enables organizations to teach their employees about cyber threats and how to combat them.
- Secure IT Infrastructure and Design: Consists of information security architecture assessment and design services to help organizations optimize their security.
Along with its cybersecurity services, Ansec provides digital forensics services to help organizations analyze and resolve security issues, the company said.

Outsource Group, founded in 2000 by CEO Terry Moore, has offices in Antrim, Belfast, Cookstown, Dublin and Edinburgh. The company had grown to roughly 50 employees ahead of the Ansec AI deal.
Outsource Group is the first channel partner to be recognized as a Dell Cloud Provider in Northern Ireland. The company also is a Veeam Gold service provider. Key areas of expertise span outsourced managed services, cybersecurity, vulnerability threat testing, telecom, WiFi, and cloud services.
