Share

Palo Alto Networks has completed the acquisition of Aporeto, a company that provides a Zero Trust Cloud Security Platform and machine identity-based micro-segmentation. The company previously announced plans to acquire Aporeto for approximately $150 million last month.

Palo Alto Networks has integrated Aporeto's Zero Trust Cloud Security Platform into its Cloud Native Security Platform delivered by Prisma Cloud, the companies said. In addition, Aporeto co-founders Dimitri Stiliadis and Satyam Sinha will join Palo Alto Networks as part of the transaction.

A Closer Look at Aporeto's Zero Trust Cloud Security Platform

Aporeto's Zero Trust Cloud Security Platform offers a software-as-a-service-based (SaaS-based) cloud workload security solution for distributed firewall, Kubernetes network security and secure access to applications and infrastructure for hybrid cloud environments, according to the company. Now, the platform enables Cloud Native Security Platform users to identify workloads and apply micro-segmentation across their infrastructure.

Furthermore, Aporeto offers a partner program that enables MSSPs, MSPs and CSPs to incorporate its Zero Trust cloud security solutions into their portfolios. Aporeto partners include technology distributor Synnex and Fishtech Group, a cybersecurity services provider with a Top 200 MSSP segment.
