Perimeter 81 Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) Leverages SonicWall Partnership

Perimeter 81, a Zero Trust Secure Network as a Service company, has integrated SonicWall Capture cloud security capabilities into its network-as-a-service offering. Together, Perimeter 81 and SonicWall now provide a secure access service edge (SASE) platform that offers real-time data breach detection and prevention capabilities, according to a prepared statement.

Organizations can use the SASE platform to connect to a single secure network and gain access to physical and cloud resources regardless of location, Perimeter 81 stated. This helps IT teams access and secure their organizations' networks and users against cyberattacks.

Perimeter 81 will showcase the SASE platform at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, California later this month. In addition, Perimeter 81 will launch Web Filtering and DNS Filtering services in conjunction with SonicWall in the first quarter of 2020, with new security features rolling out to customers throughout the year.

SonicWall Invests in Perimeter 81

The SASE platform announcement comes after Perimeter 81 in November secured $10 million in a Series A funding round led by SonicWall. At that time, Perimeter 81 signed a mutual OEM agreement with SonicWall to bolster their respective cybersecurity offerings.

Perimeter 81 provides a Zero Trust Secure Network as a Service designed to help organizations secure access to networks, cloud infrastructure and business applications, the company stated. It also launched its Zero Trust Application Access service in July and provides software-defined perimeter protection.

At least 500 businesses use Perimeter 81's offerings to secure their networks against cyberattacks, the company noted. Furthermore, Perimeter 81 recorded 400 percent year-over-year revenue growth in 2018.
