MDR Provider Pondurance Hires Program Director, Chief Strategy Officer

Share

Pondurance, a managed detection and response (MDR) provider, has named Mariana Swann as its program director for legal and insurance, according to a prepared statement. Moreover, Pondurance earlier this month appointed Lyndon Brown as its chief strategy officer.

Swann is responsible for Pondurance's relationships with security teams and executive stakeholders focused on cyber insurance, governance, compliance and other cyber risk issues with legal and regulatory ramifications, the company said. She previously led the strategic legal and insurance vertical program for RSA Security's global risk and cybersecurity practice.

Brown manages Pondurance's product management, corporate development and cross-functional performance, the company noted. He most recently served as VP of business development at FireEye Mandiant.

Pondurance Receives Private Equity Investment, Appoints CEO

In addition to its Swann and Brown hires, Pondurance in October 2020 received a private equity investment from Newlight Partners. The investment is helping Pondurance extend its MDR market reach and drive its research and development efforts.

Furthermore, Pondurance last month named Doug Howard as its CEO. Howard previously led RSA Security's global services, IT innovation and business transformation efforts and will help Pondurance explore ways to accelerate its growth.

Pondurance provides Threat Hunting + Response (TH+R), an MDR solution backed by "authentic human intelligence," according to the company. TH+R leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to deliver network detection and response (NDR), endpoint detection and response (EDR) and security information and event management-as-a-service (SIEMaaS).

Along with TH+R, Pondurance provides incident response and vulnerability management solutions. It also offers advisory services to help organizations manage risk and comply with security mandates.
