SentinelOne, an endpoint security platform provider that works with MSPs and MSSPs, has hired Silver Peak, Splunk and Palo Alto Networks veteran Ken Marks as its VP of worldwide channels. In this role, Marks leads SentinelOne's strategic channel partner relationships, according to the company.
Marks is responsible for developing SentinelOne's reseller partner global ecosystem, the company stated. He is expected to help SentinelOne explore ways to increase partner profitability, simplify business processes and differentiate itself from other vendors in the endpoint security market.
Marks has nearly two decades of developing and leading strategic global partner programs. He has held cybersecurity roles at Splunk and Palo Alto Networks and tripled growth across partner-initiated opportunities during his time with both businesses, SentinelOne noted.
Going forward, Marks expects to build a "win-win-win partner ecosystem" in which SentinelOne builds and delivers endpoint security solutions that help partners drive revenue growth and safeguard their customers against cyberattacks, he said. In doing so, Marks could help SentinelOne further accelerate its endpoint security market growth.
Is a SentinelOne IPO on the Way?
Along with the Marks hire, SentinelOne has made several moves that could lead to an IPO in the near future.
SentinelOne this month hired Brian Hussey as its VP of cyber threat response to lead its Vigilance Managed Detection & Response (MDR) program. It also appointed David Bernhardt as its CFO and Patty Trexler as its VP of government, healthcare and education.
Furthermore, SentinelOne in February 2020 raised $200 million in Series E funding. At the time, SentinelOne's total valuation was $1.1 billion.
SentinelOne is a 100 percent channel-focused company. It enables MSPs, MSSPs, technology vendors and systems integrators to deliver endpoint protection, endpoint detection and response (EDR), cloud workload protection and Internet of Things (IoT) security via the SentinelOne Singularity XDR platform.
