SilverSky, an MSSP and managed detection and response (MDR) services provider, has acquired security information and event management (SIEM) and MDR platform company Cybraics. Moreover, Cybraics President and CFO Alex Zaldivar shifts to CFO of SilverSky.
This is technology M&A deal number 332 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.
SilverSky will integrate Cybraics' artificial intelligence and machine learning behavioral analytics technology into its services, the company said. In doing so, SilverSky will strengthen its threat hunting capabilities and bolster its intellectual property portfolio.
A Closer Look at Cybraics
Cybraics offers the nLighten autonomous SIEM and MDR platform that combines threat detection, log management and response, the company said. It also provides nVision, a multi-tenant version of nLighten designed for MSSPs.
nVision lets MSSP security operations centers (SOCs) manage, monitor and remediate threats across thousands of customer environments, the company noted. Meanwhile, nLighten helps MSSPs fill security gaps and improve their incident response capabilities.
Cybraics provides a partner program that lets MSSPs and MSPs integrate its AI and machine learning behavioral analytics capabilities into their offerings. To date, the program includes at least 20 partners.
What Does the Cybraics Acquisition Mean for SilverSky?
Together, SilverSky and Cybraics will create a threat management platform that can "run as a standalone system or alongside many SIEM offerings," Zaldivar said. Furthermore, SilverSky will continue to explore opportunities to expand its market presence and add intellectual property.
Along with Cybraics, SilverSky previously purchased cybersecurity-as-a-service company Cygilant in January 2022. Since that time, Cygilant has helped SilverSky expand its access to European markets and enhance its managed services.
SilverSky delivers MDR, vulnerability management and other security services to global organizations. It also offers a channel partner program for MSSPs and MSPs.
