A new Sophos Central data center has launched in Montreal, Canada, the cybersecurity company says.

Sophos, owned by private equity firm Thoma Bravo, has similar data centers in the U.S., Germany and Ireland. The company plans to launch two additional data centers in Sydney, Australia and Tokyo, Japan in August 2021 and September 2021, respectively, Sophos says.

Sophos Central is a cloud-based management platform widely used by MSPs and end-customers. The multi-tenant management platform supports XDR (extended detection and response), managed threat response, Cloud Optix and other Sophos security capabilities.

Instead of selling MDR directly to end-customers, Sophos has acquired and positioned MDR technologies for MSP and MSSP partners.
