Cyber Risk Management Platform Protects VMware Cloud on AWS

Share

Caveonix now enables managed service providers (MSPs) and MSSPs to offer its RiskForesight cyber risk and compliance management platform to VMware Cloud on Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers, according to a prepared statement.

The news comes after Caveonix in August added RiskForesight to the VMware Cloud Provider Program. And details surface one week before the massive AWS re:Invent 2018 conference in Las Vegas.

RiskForesight is a multi-tenant cyber risk and compliance management platform for the hybrid cloud, Caveonix noted. It leverages predictive analytics and machine learning to build IT, cyber and compliance risk mitigation models and empowers MSPs and MSSPs to deliver security, network, compliance and policy enforcement across cloud-based workloads.

What Does RiskForesight Offer?

RiskForesight provides proactive workload protection from risks associated with cyber threats and regulatory compliance issues, Caveonix indicated. It is built on Caveonix's CaveoIQ risk analytics engine, which detects abnormal behavior using machine learning and assesses cyber and compliance risks

Also, RiskForesight provides visibility into what is running in hybrid cloud environments, Caveonix stated. RiskForesight builds predictive risk mitigation models to provide a prioritized set of actions specific to each tenant's workloads, along with infrastructure-level actions for MSPs and MSSPs.

Caveonix Adds Cybersecurity Industry Veterans to Its Board of Directors

In addition to the R&D work, Caveonix has been rounding out its board or directors. The news members include  Tom McDonough and Tom Noonan, each of whom joined the board in July 2018.

McDonough has more than 25 years of cybersecurity industry experience. He currently serves as an advisor for corporate development and integration at Cisco Systems and has held various roles at Sourcefire (acquired by Cisco in 2013) and Mountain Wave (acquired by Symantec in 2003).

Noonan co-founded TechOperators, a technology venture capital firm. He also served as CEO at Internet Security Systems (acquired by IBM in 2006) and JouleX (acquired by Cisco in 2013).

What Is Caveonix?

Caveonix helps MSPs and MSSPs continuously detect, predict and act on security threats and vulnerabilities impacting customers' hybrid cloud workloads. It also empowers MSPs and MSSPs with visibility into customers' cloud infrastructure, platforms, applications and data.

Furthermore, Caveonix offers a Channel Partner Program for MSPs, MSSPs, cloud services providers (CSPs) and systems integrators (SIs). This program enables channel partners to integrate RiskForesight into their offerings, as well as access RiskForesight integrations, training and technical tools.
