Zimperium, a California-based provider of mobile threat defense (MTD) solutions, has announced an integration with Microsoft Azure.
The Zimperium on Azure integrated solution is now available and offers enterprises real-time, on-device threat detection and remediation for Android and iOS devices, according to Zimperium.
Zimperium on Azure leverages Zimperium's z9 technology to deliver on-device detection and prevention against mobile cyberattacks, Zimperium stated. Also, the integrated solution enables enterprises to use Azure resources, Zimperium said, to deploy the Zimperium zConsole mobile threat management platform.
Enterprises can integrate Zimperium on Azure with enterprise mobility management (EMM), security incident and event monitoring (SIEM) and single sign-on (SSO) solutions, Zimperium indicated.
Moreover, Azure's integrated cloud services can help developers and IT professionals build, deploy and manage applications via Microsoft's global data center network, Zimperium Chief Product Officer John Michelsen said in a prepared statement.
Ongoing Zimperium Enhancements
Zimperium's R&D team has been busy in recent months. The company in February 2017 incorporated new features into its zIPS on-device threat detection solution. The features provide mobile device users with risk information related to the Wi-Fi networks around a device, along with threat data on assorted devices, networks and applications, the company stated.
The zIPS DangerZone feature ensures mobile device users can access real-time threat information on nearby Wi-Fi networks and evaluate these networks' potential risk via a map view, Zimperium pointed out.
Meanwhile, the zIPS Activity Monitor feature provides mobile devices users with real-time information to track scans and security checks performed on their devices, the networks they attach to and their device applications, Zimperium indicated.
zIPS secures iOS and Android devices in real-time while preserving a user's experience and privacy, Michelsen said in a prepared statement. The solution also informs users about dangerous Wi-Fi networks, Michelsen noted, and helps them determine which networks to avoid.
A Closer Look at Zimperium
Zimperium offers an on-device mobile security system to provide visibility, security and management for iOS and Android devices, the company stated.
More than 10 million mobile devices are currently licensed with Zimperium, according to the company.
In addition, Zimperium has partnered with many mobile operators to drive on-device security across millions of endpoints, the company said in a prepared statement.
