Zyxel Networks has brought to market USG FLEX H Series Security Firewalls, providing small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with multi-layered cyber protection, according to the company.
The firewalls give SMBs a triple-performance firewall, virtual private network (VPN) and unified threat management (UTM) solution, Zyxel said. Accordingly, Zyxel's firewalls use the company's artificial intelligence-based cloud intelligence to block both external and internal threats. Zyxel's cloud intelligence can also identify unknown threats and update USG FLEX H devices to defend against evolving cyberattacks, the business said.
In addition, the firewalls leverage next-generation multi-core hardware and Fastpath technology to minimize packet processing time, reduce latency and accelerate traffic flows, Zyxcel noted. They feature user-definable ports that range from 2.5-10 Gbps that can be configured as WAN or LAN for deployment across wired and wireless networks as well.
Zyxcel Releases Endpoint Security Solution
Previously, Zyxcel in January 2023 launched its Astra cloud-based endpoint security solution to "address the unique network security challenges presented by hybrid work environments," the company said.
With Astra, network administrators can monitor and secure their organizations' endpoints through a single portal, the company indicated. These admins can view abnormal activities by event or member to predict and identify which suspicious events qualify as malicious attacks.
Furthermore, Astra offers a cloud-based threat intelligence database that is automatically updated and pushed to endpoints in real time, Zyxcel noted. It also provides content filtering profiles that allow content categories to be restricted at the user level, along with threat statistics, network traffic analyses and security indicators.
A Closer Look at Zyxcel
Zyxel offers networking solutions that use AI to protect organizations against cyber threats. These solutions are available in 150 global markets.
Meanwhile, Zyxcel provides a partner program for value-added resellers (VARs). With this program, VARs can access "tools and resources necessary to create and sell enterprise-class solutions scaled to meet the needs and budgets of the mid-market," the company said.
