Siemplify SOAR Launches Global Channel Partner Program for MSSPs, VARs

Siemplify, a security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) platform provider, has launched the Partner First worldwide channel program for MSSPs, value-added resellers (VARs), large account resellers (LARs) and systems integrators (SIs). In addition, Siemplify plans to triple its partner base, according to a prepared statement.

Partner First offers deal registration, training and various tools and resources to help Siemplify partners sell SOAR solutions, the company said. It also features a partner portal that provides lead sharing, document access and sales and technical enablement capabilities.

Partner First could help Siemplify accelerate its growth following a successful 2018.

Siemplify reported a 280 percent year-over-year bookings increase in 2018, the company said. It also increased its customer base by 350 percent during the time frame.

What Is the Siemplify SOAR Platform?

Siemplify's SOAR platform uses automated, repeatable processes and key performance indicators (KPIs) to help security teams investigate, analyze and remediate cyberattacks.

Should Cybersecurity Professionals Deploy SOAR Technologies?

SOAR technologies may prove to be exceedingly valuable to cybersecurity professionals in the years to come, SOAR platform provider Demisto indicated.

Demisto's "State of SOAR Report 2018" revealed cybersecurity professionals face a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Increasing Security Alerts: Security teams receive an average of 174,000 alerts per week, yet they only can respond to about 12,000 of these alerts.
  • Slow Incident Response: The average mean time to respond (MTTR) to a security incident is 4.4 days.
  • Limited Personnel: Seventy-nine percent of cybersecurity professionals said they do not have sufficient security operations center (SOC) staff in place.
  • Inadequate Security Training: It takes an average of eight months to train security analysts to be effective.
  • Complex Security Tools: Seventy-five percent of cybersecurity professionals said working with multiple security tools was fairly/very challenging.
  • Lack of Security Metrics: Forty-two percent of cybersecurity professionals said they do not have a system in place to track incident response metrics.

SOAR technologies can help cybersecurity professionals address the aforementioned challenges, Demisto stated. They ingest threat data from multiple sources and execute automated playbooks, and as such, help cybersecurity professionals reduce false-positive alerts and speed up incident response.
