Stellar Cyber, an extended detection and response (XDR) platform provider, has unveiled the Jumpstart partner program for MSSPs. The partner program launch comes after Stellar Cyber earlier this year hired Cylance veteran Brian Stoner as its VP of service providers and raised $7.1 million in an expanded Series A financing round.
Key features of Jumpstart include:

Furthermore, Jumpstart enables MSSPs to deliver threat detection and response across the entire attack surface via a single license, Stoner said. It also provides MSSPs with automated threat hunting and response, machine learning-based threat detection and other Open XDR capabilities.
MSSP Partner Program: Flexible Consumption and Pricing Models
MSSPs can use Open XDR to deliver MDR-as-a-service and SOC-as-a-service (SOCaaS), Stellar Cyber said. They can leverage Open XDR to maintain security infrastructure visibility across customers' physical, virtual, container and cloud data.
In addition, Open XDR includes built-in multi-tenancy, Stellar Cyber noted. This ensures that MSSPs can use Open XDR to manage security services for thousands of end-users.
In a conversation with MSSP Alert, Stoner described how MSSPs and end customers can consume as much -- or as little -- of the overall XDR technology as required. For instance, MSSPs can start by monitoring firewalls or a network or Microsoft Office 365 -- or a mix of that infrastructure. Moreover, the partner program has a flexible model for partners, Stoner noted. While some partners may prefer pricing based on how much data they ingest, other partners may prefer a per-device pricing model, he pointed out.
Stellar Cyber Partners with MSSPs Deeptree, CyFlare
Along with launching Jumpstart, Stellar Cyber this year has announced partnerships with MSSPs Deeptree and CyFlare. Deeptree integrated Stellar Cyber's security operations capabilities into its MDR service; comparatively, CyFlare released an SOCaaS offering powered by Open XDR.
Open XDR utilizes security data from multiple inputs to provide context into an organization's attack surface, Stellar Cyber indicated. In doing so, Open XDR enables MSSPs to investigate and respond to threats on premises, in public clouds, in hybrid environments and across SaaS infrastructure.
