Accenture Security's annual revenues are nearing $2 billion, part of a bookings surge that also includes digital and cloud services, according to CEO Pierre Nanterme.
"Less than three years ago, we committed to building a market-leading, cyber security business to help clients become more resilient to cyber threats,"Nanterme said during Accenture's earnings call last week. "Today, Accenture Security is one of the largest providers in the market approaching $2 billion in annual revenues."
Accenture Security ranked among the Top 100 MSSPs for 2017, according to MSSP Alert research. But the company's cyber efforts extend beyond managed security services. The company also ranks among the Top 10 IT Security Consulting Firms, according to Gartner. Additional company services include identity and access management, cyber defense, strategic and risk assessments, Nanterme notes.
Accenture's overall growth continues to "significantly outpace" the market -- rival IT consulting firms -- driven by strong double-digit growth across digital, cloud and security related services, Nanterme asserts.
The company's overall Q2 2018 revenues were $9.6 billion, up 15 percent in U.S. dollars and 10 percent in local currency. The revenue figure beat Wall Street's expectations by $280 million, according to SeekingAlpha.
The company is expected to have a major presence at the RSA Conference in May. Among the executives expected to be on-hand: Harpreet Sidhu, managing director for managed security.
