AWS re:Inforce 2019 -- Amazon's cloud cybersecurity conference -- kicks off June 25 in Boston, Massachusetts. It's a safe bet Amazon will pitch its own AWS Security Hub at the conference.
But that's not all. Multiple Top 100 MSSP companies -- including Alert Logic, Anitian, Cisco Systems, Delta Risk, Deloitte, IBM, PwC and Symantec -- are expected attend. Other key attendees will include numerous MDR (managed detection and response), endpoint protection, cloud access security brokerages (CASBs), SOAR and SIEM companies are expected to attend.
According to Amazon: "Attendees of AWS re:Inforce can expect two days of security, identity, and compliance learning and community building."
Amazon CISO Steve Schmidt is confirmed to speak.
Cloud Security and Human Error
The conference arrives at a key time. In addition to seeking advanced cybersecurity information, many businesses need basic information about proper cloud security settings.
Multiple customers have misconfigured AWS over the past two years or so, leading to major data exposures that weren't necessarily Amazon's fault.
Stay tuned to MSSP Alert for ongoing updates from the conference.
