Hanesbrands -- owner of clothing and apparel brands such as Hanes and Champion -- has hired a third-party cybersecurity forensic firm to investigate a May 24 ransomware attack against the company.

Preliminary details about the Hanesbrands ransomware attack surfaced in an SEC filing. Among the factoids to note:
