Zscaler, a cloud security and zero trust protection platform provider, has joined the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC).
As a JCDC member, Zscaler will look for ways to help enhance "the collective cybersecurity posture of the United States and strategic international partners," the company said. It also will participate in future cybersecurity strategy planning sessions with JCDC members.
A Closer Look at JCDC
CISA established JCDC in 2021 "to unify cyber defenders from organizations worldwide," the agency indicated. JCDC members gather, analyze and cyber risk information with one another. In doing so, they work together to find ways to help organizations synchronize cybersecurity planning and cyber defense, and response.
Along with Zscaler, JCDC members include cybersecurity experts from the public and private sectors, CISA noted. JCDC admits members based on various requirements, member availability, capability and interest. Cybersecurity companies and other organizations can join JCDC free of charge.
Zscaler Upgrades Data Protection Capabilities
The JCDC announcement comes after Zscaler in October 2022 unveiled the following data protection enhancements for its security platform:
- Zero Configuration Data Loss Prevention (DLP) automatically classifies organizational data to speed up the deployment of data protection programs.
- Unified Data Protection offers data protection across endpoints, emails and web, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and private apps to help organizations manage security risks across various channels.
- Automated Workflows provides security insights and automates security workflows that organizations can use to respond to cyberattacks faster than ever before.
Zscaler offers the Zero Trust Exchange cloud security platform that protects global organizations against cyberattacks and data loss. It provides a partner program that allows MSSPs and MSPs to use its platform to deliver zero trust security services.
