One Identity, a provider of access management, identity governance, identity-as-a-service (IaaS) and privileged management services, has announced a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution designed to reduce identity-related risk associated with improper user entitlements and access rights.
The solution, One Identity Starling Identity Analytics & Risk Intelligence (IARI), helps organizations detect cyber threats and inspect anomalies to remediate risk, according to a prepared statement.
The launch is particularly important because One Identity got its start in the traditional client-server software market. The company spun off from Dell in 2016, and is now racing to develop multiple subscription-based identity and access management (IAM) services.
SaaS-based Risk Intelligence
IARI is a step in that direction. The platform's features include:
- Alerting: Provides notifications when changes to user privileges move a user's profile into a high-risk status.
- Business Verification: Offers visibility into user privileges when a change to a user's risk profile occurs.
- Data Source Modules and Collector: Automates the gathering, processing and transmission of user privilege data.
- Risk Classification Rules: Collects, processes and classifies user privileges into groupings to provide a baseline that can be used to identify high-risk areas.
- User Risk Profile: Compares and contrasts user privileges against risk classification rules to identify high-risk accounts.
In addition, Starling IARI leverages a pool of data source modules and cloud-based data to aggregate user entitlement data and provides analysis of users' rights, One Identity stated. It analyzes and compares user privileges and pinpoints situations where privileges pose risk to ensure an individual's access rights are appropriate.
Starling IARI is now available globally.
One Identity Updates Privileged Access Management Solution
One Identity appears busy on the R&D front. The company earlier this month released One Identity Safeguard 2.0, a new version of its privileged access management solution.
With One Identity Safeguard 2.0, security professionals can leverage a cloud-based approval workflow to approve password requests from any device, according to a prepared statement.
One Identity Safeguard 2.0 also secures and automates the management of privileged or shared accounts to help security professionals mitigate potential data breaches or application misuse and meet regulatory and industry compliance rules, One Identity said.
