Proficio, a Top 100 MSSP for 2017 that provides managed detection and response (MDR), log monitoring and other cybersecurity services, has opened a facility in Melbourne, Australia. The Melbourne hub is Proficio's third location in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

With the Melbourne hub, Proficio is better equipped than ever before to expand its cybersecurity services and infrastructure in the Australian market, President Tim McElwee said in a prepared statement. The Melbourne hub also highlights Proficio's commitment to global expansion.

Proficio has recorded 29 consecutive quarters of revenue growth, thanks in part to its success in the APAC region, McElwee stated.

In addition, Proficio last year partnered with Necsia IT Consulting, a Spanish cybersecurity and digital transformation services company. Proficio and Necsia together deliver cyber protection, detection and response services to European enterprises.

Proficio: Here's What You Need to Know

Founded in 2010, Proficio offers MDR, automated response, advanced threat detection, security assessment and other managed security services via global security operations centers (SOCs). It provides fully managed, co-managed and custom-built security services to customers around the world.

Proficio in February partnered with anti-ransomware software firm CyberSight. Together, Proficio and CyberSight deliver endpoint detection and response (EDR) services that help organizations detect and prevent ransomware attacks in real-time.

Furthermore, Proficio in October introduced a "First Year Free" promotion that gave organizations the opportunity to try the company's managed security services without significant upfront costs. The promotion provided organizations with free access to various Proficio managed security services, including the company's threat intelligence, security operations center-as-a-service (SOCaaS) and vulnerability management offerings.

How Can MSPs Partner with Proficio?

Proficio offers the Synergy Partner Program for managed service providers (MSPs), systems integrators (SIs) and value-added resellers (VARs). This program enables channel partners to resell Proficio's cybersecurity services and provides them with access to marketing, technical and sales resources.

The Synergy Partner Program empowers channel partners to offer Proficio's cybersecurity services without large upfront investments, operating an SOC or hiring security information and event management (SIEM) experts, according to the company. As such, the program may prove to be exceedingly valuable to channel partners that want to capitalize on the growing global cybersecurity market.

Global spending on cybersecurity products and services will exceed $1 trillion cumulatively between 2017 and 2021, market researcher Cybersecurity Ventures has predicted. Cybersecurity Ventures also has projected the global cybersecurity market will grow between 12 percent and 15 percent annually through 2021.
