Comodo, a company that provides antivirus, endpoint protection and other cybersecurity solutions, and cyber defense software company Mission Secure Inc. (MSi) have unveiled a joint solution designed to protect government and enterprise critical infrastructure.
The offering was introduced at this week's HackNYC cybersecurity conference.
The Comodo-MSi solution integrates information technology (IT) and operations technology (OT)/industrial control systems (ICS) cybersecurity with a unified security operations center (SOC), according to a prepared statement. By doing so, the solution helps enterprises and government agencies protect their critical infrastructure against cyber threats targeting ICS.
How Does the Comodo-MSi Solution Work?
Enterprises and government organizations can use the Comodo-MSi solution to collect data from IT and OT/ICS environments and leverage cyber event and incident management, recovery and remediation in an SOC, the companies said. That way, organizations in critical infrastructure sectors like electricity, oil, gas and water can quickly identify cyber threats.
In addition, the joint solution offers integrated IT and OT/ICS cyber visibility and endpoint protection in a unified platform, Comodo VP of Cybersecurity Solutions Ozer Metin noted. It closes the gaps in siloed IT and OT/ICS environments, Metin indicated, and helps enterprises and government organizations address the security challenges associated with protecting critical infrastructure.
Comodo and MSi: Here's What You Need to Know
Comodo offers a cybersecurity platform that enables organizations to protect their systems and data against zero-day attacks and other cyberattacks. It also is a founding sponsor of the MSP Consortium Forum, which empowers managed service providers (MSPs) and MSSPs with remote monitoring and management (RMM), professional services automation (PSA) and other free tools.
Furthermore, the Comodo One partner program enables MSPs and MSSPs to offer anti-spam, endpoint security and other subscription-based services to customers. The program gives MSPs and MSSPs access to an open, centralized IT operating platform to help partners manage their infrastructure and boost their profits, the company stated.
MSi offers the MSi Platform, which helps organizations mitigate cyberattacks throughout their operations. The MSi Platform provides organizations with visibility and protection in OT environments, MSi noted, and can be used in combination with any control system hardware manufacturer or device.
