9. More Bloomberg Report Question Marks: Bloomberg BusinessWeek's report about Chinese hackers tampering with Supermicro services continues to raise question marks. Kaspersky Lab is the latest company to dismiss the report as untrue. Both Apple and Amazon Web Services have also denied the report.
8. Web Security: Kaspersky Lab has launched Kaspersky Web Traffic Security, which reinforces web gateways to protect corporate networks from a variety of web-based attacks, the company says.
7. Former Employee Charged: A former Blueport Wireless employee has been charged with accessing his former employer's computer systems, and intentionally damaging 100 to 120 customer configuration profiles, according to Cape Code Today, a Massachusetts media site.

Chief Information Security Officer Dave Estlick offers details and describes his 62-person global cybersecurity team in this interview with The Wall Street Journal.
5. Mobile Security Operations Center (SOC): IBM has developed a mobile Security Operations Center (SOC), capable of traveling onsite for cybersecurity training, preparedness, and response, the company says. The IBM X-Force Command Cyber Tactical Operations Center (C-TOC) will travel around the U.S. and Europe, running incident response drills with clients, providing on-demand cybersecurity support, and building cybersecurity awareness and skills with professionals, students and consumers, the company adds. The SOC sounds similar to a setup Continuum displayed for MSPs at the recent Navigate conference in Boston.
4. SMB Cyber Insurance: SMBs are demanding higher cyber insurance limits and extended coverage, with 90 percent of SMBs that purchase policies pursuing coverage limits between $1 million and $5 million, CyberPolicy research reveals.
3. New York Cyber Center: A wide-ranging venture, called Cyber NYC, will raise $100 million to ensure the city is a testing ground and marketplace for cybersecurity startups, Crain's New York Business reports. Venture capital powerhouse JVP and SOSA, an international matchmaker for large corporations and technology startups, are backing the effort, the report says.
