Redcentric, a UK-based MSP, has acquired 7 Elements for security testing, incident response management and managed vulnerability scanning expertise. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is technology M&A deal number 282 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

Redcentric, founded in 1997, has 500 employees who support more than 1,000 customers. The company's expertise spans networks, cloud, communication, professional and cybersecurity services.

Meanwhile, 7 Elements is a CREST accredited IT security testing company that also offers incident response and consulting services.

In a prepare statement about the acquisition, Redcentric CEO Peter Brotherton said:

“I am pleased to welcome 7 Elements to the Redcentric group and I am really excited about the skills, capabilities and services that this acquisition gives us, significantly enhancing the Redcentric portfolio.

We acquired additional capability in the increasingly important security market as part of the recent Piksel acquisition, and the 7 Elements acquisition further enables us to improve and enhance our offering so that we are now able to offer a complete portfolio of security services to our customers.

We look forward to working with our customers to help ensure that they are secure.’’

As Brotherton noted, Redcentric has been busy on the M&A front. The company in September 2021 acquired Piksel Industry Solutions -- a provider of application, public cloud, security and managed services across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
