Sophos, a British company that specializes in network and endpoint security, now offers training, certification and financial incentives to help global channel partners support public cloud customers, according to a prepared statement.
Sophos partners can become cloud security providers that can assist customers who are using or migrating to the public cloud, the company stated. Also, Sophos is working with partners to maximize bring-your-own-license (BYOL) or pay-as-you-go (PAYG) purchasing and deployment options for their customers.
The Sophos cloud security provider program offers a variety of benefits to partners, including:
- Increased partner margin via rebates when customers buy Sophos products that are available on Azure and AWS cloud marketplaces.
- Revenue from BYOL deals.
- Sales and pipeline lead generation from Sophos free product trials and PAYG testing.
- Training and support from Sophos security architects.
Certification as a Sophos cloud security provider is available in two tiers:
- Professional: Intended for partners that focus on consulting and selling services.
- Expert: Designed for partners that provide consulting and selling services, along with deployment services.
The Sophos cloud security provider program offers a combination of security technology, vendor training and support and financial incentives, Kendra Krause, vice president of global channel at Sophos, said in a company statement. By doing so, the program ensures Sophos partners are better equipped than ever before to capitalize on the increasing demand for cloud security solutions, Krause pointed out.
Cloud security spending is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28 percent between 2016 and 2021, market research company Forrester said in a prepared statement. In addition, Forrester has projected cloud security spending will reach $3.5 billion globally by 2021.
Sophos Unveils Network and Server Security for Azure
Meanwhile, Sophos has also announced its Sophos Server Protection network and server security solution is now available for Microsoft Azure, according to a company statement.
Organizations can use Sophos Server Protection for Azure in conjunction with Sophos XG Firewall to coordinate their defense against cyber threats attacking multiple vectors, including virtual machines running in Azure, Sophos stated.
Sophos today offers network and endpoint security solutions to more than 100 million users in 150 countries. The company provides products that are available via a global channel of more than 26,000 registered partners.
