Veritas Technologies now serves as a multi-cloud data management-focused private sector member of the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), the company announced.

As a JCDC member, Veritas is working with the group's federal government and private sector partners and state, local, tribal and territorial governments to develop and implement joint cyber defense plans and operations, the company said. In doing so, Veritas will help these partners and governments find ways to reduce their risk of cyberattacks and secure their critical infrastructure against cyber threats.

JCDC Drives Collaboration Across the Cybersecurity Community

Veritas and other JCDC members can engage with security analysts and access an information exchange portal. That way, these members can work together to gather, analyze and share information that they can use to defend against cyber threats. They also can generate insights and use them to develop cybersecurity solutions.

In addition to Veritas, cloud security company Zscaler joined JCDC in December 2022. Cybersecurity experts from the public and private sectors are invited to join JCDC. Furthermore, cybersecurity organizations can join JCDC for free.

Veritas Technologies Introduces MSP Partner Program

Along with joining JCDC, Veritas in August 2023 announced the Veritas Managed Service Provider Program to help MSPs expand their portfolios and boost their revenues.

Veritas MSP partners can provide Veritas-powered Backup-as-a-Service, Analytics-as-a-Service and Data Recovery-as-a-Service offerings, the company said. They also can utilize subscription- and consumption-based pricing options and commitment-based commercial models.

Meanwhile, Veritas Qualifying Elite program partners are eligible for joint go-to-market initiatives and product roadmap engagements, solutions development workshops and incentives. Veritas has created a dedicated global team and is carving out demand development funding for MSPs in this segment as well.
